LAN Basics Products Are Shipped to US Addresses Only

Orders can only be placed using the online store shopping cart. Customer service cannot accept phone orders. Technical inquiries and pre-sales questions can be directed to tech_support@lanbasics.com.

Payment Options

All prices, charges and discounts are shown in U.S. dollars.  Prices are FOB factory in El Toro, California.  LAN Basics only accepts payments via credit card – checks, cash or money orders are not accepted.  LAN Basics takes the following cards:  American Express, Novus Discover, MasterCard, Visa and debit cards with the MasterCard or Visa logo.  Backorders/Out of Stock items will ship as soon as they are available. Customers will not be charged until the item ships. Backorders can be canceled prior to shipment by contacting customer service.

Shipping Rates and Policies

Shipping and Handling

Shipping and handling costs vary by final shipping destination and order weight. LAN Basics ships products only within the US. Orders are processed and shipped pending credit card authorization. Deliveries are pending credit approval, merchandise availability and weather conditions.

Standard Ground - Customers selecting standard shipping should receive their order within 1 to 10 business days based on distance to destination.

3 Day Select - Orders placed by 12:00 P.M. PST Monday through Friday will arrive 3 business days later, before the end of the business day.

2nd Day Air A.M. - Orders placed by 12:00 P.M. PST Monday through Friday will arrive 2 business days later, typically by 10:30 A.M.

2nd Day Air - Orders placed by 12:00 P.M. PST Monday through Friday will arrive 2 business days later, before the end of the business day.

Next Day Air Early A.M. - Orders placed by 12:00 P.M. PST Monday through Friday will arrive the next business day by 8:00 A.M. to major cities in the 48 contiguous states. Orders will arrive by 8:30 or 9:00 A.M. to most other U.S. cities, including Anchorage, Alaska

Next Day Air Saver - Orders placed by 12:00 P.M. PST Monday through Friday will arrive the next business day, typically by 3:00 P.M.

Next Day Air - Orders placed by 12:00 P.M. PST Monday through Friday will arrive the next business day, typically by 10:30 A.M.

Orders can be tracked online using the embedded link in the confirmation email. Registered LAN Basics members can log in and view their order status online. Non-registered customers can track their order status by following the link in their order confirmation email.

Taxes and Duties

LAN Basics is a California company.  Orders shipped within California will be charged the appropriate sales tax.  All other taxes, duties and customs fees are the responsibility of the customer. Tax and duty amount is presented during delivery, not during checkout. Local post offices or carriers can provide additional information on the methods of payment accepted for the duties, taxes, and other fees collected upon delivery.

Partial Orders

If partial orders are requested, taxes and shipping charges are not confirmed until the order is packed and ready to ship.  Invoice totals may vary slightly from the total on the order confirmation notice. For international orders, the local country affiliate service will charge the recipient all applicable duty, taxes, and/or brokerage fees C.O.D. in the local currency at the time of delivery.

Back Orders/Out of Stock Items

Back Orders/Out of Stock items will ship as soon as they are available. Customers will not be charged until the item ships. Backorders can be canceled prior to shipment by contacting customer service.

Returns and Credits

Returns for Repairs

All returns for repair must be shipped pre-paid to LAN Basics’ warehouse repair center.  Products still under the original warranty will either be repaired or replaced, at LAN Basics’ discretion.  Estimated repair costs for out of warranty products will be provided to the customer within 5 business days.  All approved repair work will be performed within 7 business days, and LAN Basics will pay ground freight return charges.  A Return Material Authorization (RMA) number (see below) must accompany all returns.

Credits

Customers have up to 14 days after the date of purchase to request a credit for any undamaged items in new condition.  Returns for credit must be received within 30 days from the date the RMA is issued.  All returns for credit are subject to a 15% restocking fee.  A Return Material Authorization (RMA) number (see below) must accompany all returns.

RMA Number

LAN Basics’ warehouse will not accept unidentified packages.  An RMA number must be prominently displayed on the exterior of all packaging and also written on the documentation accompanying the return.  An RMA number can be obtained by contacting LAN Basics’ customer support at our toll free number 1-866-607-8989.  When calling, please be prepared to provide the following information:

  • Contact Information: Name, address, phone number, email if applicable
  • Product Name
  • Order Number
  • Reason for return: Repair or Credit

Return Shipping Instructions

All requests from purchaser to return products shall be accompanied by the original, dated proof of purchase, written description of the defect, and the RMA number. Purchaser shall pay freight and any applicable United States importation processing charges, and be responsible (insured) against any damage or loss during return shipment of the product.

LAN Basics Warranty, Limitation of Liability

LAN Basics.com Inc (LAN Basics) warrants to the original end-user purchaser that its products shall be free from defects in workmanship or material for a period of twelve (12) months from the date of purchase from LAN Basics. This warranty shall be limited to repair or replace, at LAN Basics’ option.

LAN Basics’ obligation to repair or replace defective products shall not apply to any product that has been (i) subjected to misuse, neglect, or accident, including causes external to the products such as electrical power fluctuations and failures or (ii) altered or repaired (other than by LAN Basics) in such a manner as to affect adversely its performance, stability, or reliability, or (iii) subjected to electrical or environmental stress.

THE FOREGOING WARRANTY IS IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER WARRANTIES WHETHER EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED, IN FACT OR AT LAW, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND STATES LAN BASICS’ SOLE AND ENTIRE LIABILITY TO PURCHASER OR ANY THIRD PARTY AND PURCHASER’S OR THIRD PARTY'S EXCLUSIVE REMEDY FOR ANY CLAIM OF DAMAGE IN CONNECTION WITH THE SALE OR SERVICING OF THE PRODUCTS, THEIR DESIGN, OR SUITABILITY FOR USE. IN NO EVENT SHALL LAN BASICS BE LIABLE FOR INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, LOSS OF ANTICIPATED PROFITS OR FOR DAMAGES IN AN AMOUNT EXCEEDING THE COST TO PURCHASER FOR ANY PRODUCT (S) CAUSING ANY ALLEGED DAMAGE, EVEN IF LAN BASICS HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES
